The Democratic Party of Door County is dedicated to electing progressive candidates at the local, state, and national level.
Our Values underlie ideals for relationships of people:

> to their government
> to other nations
> to the environment
> to the rights and responsibilities inherent in the hallmarks of democratic freedom.
We are most assuredly liberal as defined below and we strive to be progressive, looking to the future. However, we are also conservative in our desire to be Patriots protecting those values of fair play and good governance that imbued the founders of our nation.
lib·er·al : n. A person who has respect for but is not limited to or by established, traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitudes, views, or dogmas; free from bigotry; open minded.
pro·gres·sive : n. A person who actively favors or strives for progress toward better conditions, as in society or government.
con·ser·va·tive : n. A person who adheres to traditional views and values; tending to oppose change; closed minded.
Although the Democratic Party of Door County (sometimes called Door Dems) is in itself autonomous, it is also a member of both the 8th Congressional Democratic Party and the Wisconsin Democratic Party.
